The September Chapter of Talk Cinema On The Floor returns on Sunday, 21st September 2025, at SACAC, New Delhi. This month’s session features veteran screenwriter and two-time National Award winner Ashok Mishra in the Spotlight segment, and sound designer Siddharth Sadashiv in Craft & Crew. Alongside, NDFF will share updates on its Make Cinema campaign and continue its interactive Take The Floor segment, making it another exciting chapter for filmmakers, cinephiles, and creative talents of Delhi-NCR.
The September Chapter of Talk Cinema On The Floor (TCOTF), an initiative of the New Delhi Film Foundation (NDFF), will be held on Sunday, 21st September 2025, from 3 pm to 5 pm at Sri Aurobindo Centre for Arts & Creativity (SACAC), New Delhi. This unique monthly platform continues to bring together aspiring filmmakers, storytellers, cinephiles, and industry experts for dialogue, learning, and collaboration.
The Craft & Crew segment will feature Siddharth Sadashiv, an accomplished film sound designer, who will share insights on the often-overlooked yet vital role of sound in shaping cinematic experience. With his extensive body of work across diverse projects, Siddharth is expected to give participants a practical and creative perspective on how sound enriches storytelling.
The Spotlight segment will welcome veteran screenplay writer and two-time National Award winner Ashok Mishra. Known for his remarkable work in films such as Samar, Welcome to Sajjanpur, Bhaiyyaji Superhit, and the recent Netflix release Kathal—which has won the 71st National Film Award—Mishra will share his journey and the craft of screenplay writing that has made him one of the most respected voices in Indian cinema.

Building on its momentum, TCOTF has already seen strong participation and engaging sessions in its previous chapters. In June, Dr. Vikas Singh and filmmaker Pawan K. Shrivastava shared knowledge in Craft & Crew and Spotlight respectively. The July Chapter hosted Dr. Sabiha Farhat and National Award-winning filmmaker Bhaskar Hazarika, while the August Chapter featured Praveen Jain on film editing and filmmaker Sohini Dasgupta, who brought fresh perspectives from her body of work and her association with Buddhadeb Dasgupta. Each chapter has seen enthusiastic participation from Delhi-NCR’s film fraternity, with growing recognition in media and creative circles.
Another highlight will be NDFF’s Make Cinema campaign, with updates on its progress and the call for entries to produce six short films in six months under the tagline “Small Films, Big Voices.”
The interactive segment, Take The Floor: The 5-Minute Window, will once again provide participants a chance to pitch ideas, showcase talent, or present creative projects in front of peers and experts.
Together, these elements make the September Chapter of TCOTF another promising step towards nurturing a vibrant creative ecosystem for cinema and allied arts in Delhi-NCR.
