After a well-received inaugural session, Talk Cinema On The Floor (TCOTF) returns with its July Chapter on Saturday, 19th July 2025, from 3 PM to 5 PM at Harmony House, SACAC Campus, Adchini, New Delhi. The nearest metro station is Hauz Khas.
Initiated by New Delhi Film Foundation (NDFF), TCOTF is a monthly gathering designed to bring together filmmakers, writers, technicians, actors, scholars, and cinema lovers — to engage in creative conversation, skill sharing, collaboration, and ideation in a free and open format.

This month’s edition features two compelling voices from Indian cinema:
In the Craft & Crew segment, acclaimed documentary filmmaker Dr. Sabiha Farhat will break down the process of converting a story or memory into a structured screenplay. With over 10,000 hours of content to her credit and a National Award (Rajat Kamal), she brings decades of field experience and teaching insight to the room.

In the Spotlight segment, National Award-winning filmmaker Bhaskar Hazarika, known for his daring and genre-defying films like Kothanodi and Aamis, will share his journey, creative process, and views on independent storytelling in today’s changing landscape.
The session will also include the dynamic “Take the Floor: The 5 Minute Window” — where selected participants can pitch their film idea, showcase their creative work, or introduce themselves to the community. Those interested can write to talkcinema@ndff.in to be considered.
The initiative is supported by Sri Aurobindo Centre for Arts & Creativity (SACAC) and Media & Entertainment Skills Council (MESC) and being organized as a collaborative effort.

Another major feature of the day will be the announcement of the Call for Entries under NDFF’s ‘Make Cinema’ campaign, which aims to produce six short films in six months. These will be mentored projects with creative and logistical support, and preference will be given to participants of TCOTF sessions.
Entry is free, but registration is mandatory.
