Cine Book Review: सिने बुक रिव्यू के बारे में
महोदय/महोदया,
‘न्यू डेल्ही फिल्म फाउंडेशन’ सिनेमा से जुड़ी गंभीर पुस्तकों के बारे में जानकारी देने और उनकी विषयवस्तु से परिचित कराने के लिए ऐसी नई पुस्तकों की (पुरानी और महत्वपूर्ण पुस्तकों की भी) नियमित रुप से जानकारी और समीक्षा प्रकाशित करने की शुरुआत कर रहा है। इस बारे में हमें देश-विदेश में फैले अपने शुभचिंतकों और सदस्यों से लगातार सुझाव मिलते रहे हैं, जिसे अब हम व्यवस्थित रुप दे रहे हैं। ये मुहिम ‘न्यू डेल्ही फिल्म फाउंडेशन’ की एक पुस्तकीय और ऑडियो-विजुअल लाइब्रेरी/ आर्काइव स्थापित करने का भी एक समांतर प्रयास है।
‘सिने बुक रिव्यू’ के नाम से इस पहल की शुरुआत हमने फिल्ममेकर, लेखक व फ़िल्म एंड टेलीविज़न इंस्टिट्यूट, पुणे से दीक्षित अरुण खोपकर की साहित्य अकादेमी से पुरस्कृत मराठी पुस्तक ‘चलत् चित्रव्यूह’ के हिंदी अनुवाद की समीक्षा के साथ की है, जिसे साहित्य अकादेमी ने प्रकाशित किया है। इस श्रृंखला की दूसरी पुस्तक बनी वाणी प्रकाशन द्वारा प्रकाशित ‘नाज़ी यातना शिविरों की त्रासद गाथा’ जिसे जानी मानी सिनेविद् और लेखिका विजय शर्मा ने लिखा है। इसी श्रृंखला के तहत हम जाने माने सिनेविद, समाजशास्त्री और लेखक जवरीमल्ल पारख जी की पुस्तक हिंदी सिनेमा का समाजवाद से फिल्म मुगले आज़म पर लिखे एक लेख को प्रकाशित कर रहे हैं। इस पुस्तक को ग्रंथशिल्पी प्रकाशन ने प्रकाशित किया है।
इस अभियान को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए हम लेखकों-रचनाकारों, समीक्षकों और प्रकाशकों के सहयोग के आकांक्षी हैं। अगर उन्हे लगता है कि उनकी पुस्तकों की इस मंच पर चर्चा होनी चाहिए, तो वो अपनी पुस्तक की दो प्रतियां (एक समीक्षक के लिए, दूसरी NDFF की लाइब्रेरी के लिए) भेज सकते हैं। पता, मोबाइल नंबर और ईमेल नीचे दिया हुआ है। समीक्षा करने के इच्छुक योग्य समीक्षकों से भी आग्रह है कि इस प्रयास से जुड़ें, संपर्क करें। इस पहल के तहत हम पुस्तक की विस्तृत समीक्षा के साथ-साथ बाद में उसके अंशों पर आधारित अलग से लेख भी प्रकाशित करेंगे।
हम अपनी वेबसाइट पर पुस्तक की एक संपूर्ण समीक्षा के साथ-साथ अपने सोशल मीडिया प्लैटफॉर्म पर भी पुस्तक की नियमित रुप से चर्चा करेंगे। इसके अलावा महत्वपूर्ण पुस्तकों पर अपने यूट्यूब प्लैटफॉर्म और फेसबुक पेज पर लाइव चर्चा आयोजित करने का भी प्रयास करेंगे।

Dear Cinema & Book lovers,
‘New Delhi Film Foundation’ has taken an initiative to keep you aware with the new publications on cinema. NDFF would regularly publish information and reviews of new and relevant books on cinema as well as some old and relevant ones too. The objective is to impart information about serious and significant books about cinema and to share the content with concerned people.
We have been constantly receiving suggestions in this regard from our well-wishers and NDFF members from all across the country and abroad. With all the suggestions and feedback it is finally taking a systematic shape in the form of a campaign/series titled ‘Cine Book Review’. This campaign is also a parallel effort to set up a book and audio-visual library/archive of the ‘New Delhi Film Foundation’ in the capital region of Delhi. The website of NDFF is bilingual, so we are open to books/reviews in Hindi as well as English.
‘Cine Book Review’ has started with the review of Hindi translation of the Sahitya Akademi award winning Marathi book ‘Chalat Chitravyuh’ by Arun Khopkar, (published by Sahitya Akademi), a filmmaker and alumnus of FTII, Pune. The second in this series was the review of the book ‘Nazi Yatna Shiviron Ki Trasad Gatha’ written by renowned film scholar and writer Vijay Sharma and published by Vani Prakashan. The book has a deep, sensitive and analytical take on the films based on atrocities on Jews in Nazi Germany.
Taking this campaign further, we are looking forward to the cooperation of writers-creators, critics and publishers. If one feels that their books should be discussed in this forum, they can send two copies of their book (one for the reviewer, the other for the NDFF archive). The address, mobile number and email are given below. Besides publishing a detailed review, we would also publish an article with the excerpts of the book separately.
We also invite book reviewers of Hindi-English both to contribute to this mission by volunteering to share the relevant information or reviews of books and publications.
We will be discussing the books regularly on our social media platforms along with a full review of the book on our website. Apart from this, we will also try to organize live discussions on important books on our YouTube platform and Facebook page.
